Chicago Laptop Ministry – Give a Laptop, Get a Laptop, Renew a Laptop

We collect older laptops, securely wipe them, refurbish them, and install an easy-to-use Linux operating system—then give them at no cost to Chicago neighbors who need one most.

What we accept

• Laptops in working condition
• Manufactured 2012 or newer
• Drop-off 24/7 at the reception desk (1st floor) of the ICA building:
  4750 N Sheridan Rd, Chicago, IL 60640

Want a refurbished laptop? Visit add.laptopministry.org to add your household to the wait-list. We can also refurbish your old laptop with Linux. Messages are usually answered on Sundays. Pickups (and special drop-off arrangements) can be coordinated once we confirm we have a suitable device for you.

Because demand far outpaces our current capacity, we prioritize people with the greatest need. We’d love to see sister ministries like this one start in other neighborhoods and cities!
